Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday inaugurated the new campus of the Iconic Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya at Andharua in Bhubaneswar.
The foundation for this campus was laid by the Chief Minister on September 5, 2021 on the occasion of Guru Dibasa.
Spanning 25 acres, the newly inaugurated campus features an academic block, two hostels accommodating 544 students each for boys and girls, a central kitchen, dining facilities, staff quarters, dormitories, parking, and gardens. This facility caters to the educational needs of 1,000 meritorious students. The government has invested over Rs 100 crore in its construction.
The school offers free accommodation to residential students and boasts state-of-the-art amenities including classrooms, ICT labs, an e-library, modern science labs, and skill development facilities.
In alignment with the holistic development of talented rural students, the school provides coaching for various national-level competitions, facilitating their aspirations to pursue medical, engineering, law, and military careers.
