Balasore: As many as 15 tourists hailing from West Bengal were injured when the bus they were traveling in collided with a dumper and veered into a roadside farmland along NH-60 near Nidhipanda in Odisha’s Balasore district, early this morning.
Fortunately, children and women aboard the bus narrowly escaped with minor injuries.
According to reports, around 65 tourists were returning home in the ill-fated vehicle after visiting Puri. The accident occurred as a tyre of the bus burst. The driver lost control over the vehicle, resulting in it careening into a farmland after colliding with a dumper.
The victims were admitted to the District Headquarters Hospital for treatment.
