Bhubaneswar: Fire broke out at a subsidiary shrine on the premises of Jagannath temple in Odisha’s Puri town today.
According to sources, fire broke out at the Bedhakali temple on the precincts of Srimandir due to short-circuit at around 10 pm today.
On being informed, Fire Brigade personnel rushed to the spot and doused the flames after disconnecting electricity supply to the 12th century shrine, sources added.
No one was injured in the incident. Besides, the fire has not caused much damage at the shrine, said a source.
Electricity supply to Jagannath temple was restored soon after the Fire Brigade personnel doused the flames, it added.
