Govt creates additional posts in Odisha Information Service cadre – N.F Times



Bhubaneswar: The government has restructured the Odisha Information Service (OIS) cadre by creating additional posts to strengthen public relation activities in the state.

The state Cabinet, headed by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, today approved a proposal in this regard.

As per the Cabinet decision, the state government has created 61 posts at different levels of the OIS cadre and abolished four posts.

The government has created 46 new posts at the level of SDIPRO (OIS-II). The newly-created posts include 20 posts of SDIPRO for all sub-divisions of the state, eight posts of PRO for the group of departments, two PRO posts for social media, two posts of PRO for Bhubaneswar and Cuttack Municipal Corporations and six posts of PRO for six important government offices.

Besides, the government has created 10 posts in the rank of DIPRO (OIS-JB) and two posts in the ranks of Deputy Director and Joint Director.

Similarly, one post has been created in the level of Additional Director under the OIS.
