19th National Youth C'ship: Muskaan Achieves New Record, Gajendra Wins Bronze | Pragativadi | Odisha News, Breaking News Odisha, Latest Odisha News – N.F Times




Bilaspur: Promising Rajasthan athletes Muskaan and Gajendra Singh excelled in the 19th National Youth Athletics Championship, held at Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh recently.
Both Muskaan and Gajendra are part of the AU SFB ‘Bano Champion’ CSR initiative that provides guided sports training to rural youth.
Muskaan from Kishangarh Bas, Rajasthan, achieved a significant milestone by securing the first position in the 1000mtrs race category and setting a new National Record with a remarkable time of 2 minutes and 51.11 seconds. Her journey from overcoming financial challenges to achieving this feat underscores her resilience and determination.
“I am deeply grateful for the support of the AU Foundation and my coach Shahrukh Sir,” remarked Muskaan. “Their guidance and resources have played a pivotal role in my journey, culminating in this Gold Medal and National Record. This achievement highlights the power of perseverance and support.”
Muskaan’s athletic career began with local competitions and progressed steadily to national acclaim, earning accolades at events such as the Khelo India Youth Games and various state-level tournaments.
In the U17 category, Gajendra Singh, from Shahpura (Jaipur), Rajasthan, secured the Bronze Medal in the 200mtrs race. Gajendra’s consistent performance and dedication to athletics have been evident through his successes at national and state levels.
“I am honoured to have secured the Bronze Medal at this prestigious championship,” said Gajendra. “I owe this achievement to the unwavering support of my family, coaches, and the sports community.”
Gajendra embarked on his athletic journey in 2022 and has since amassed multiple medals, including Silver and Bronze at the Junior National Championships and Gold at the Rajasthan State Games. Currently training at the Netaji Subhash Chandra National Institute of Sports, Patiala, he aspires to represent India internationally.
