Balangir, (Pawan Agarwal )- Child and Women Development Society (CWDS ) based at State level celebrated Dipawali with the inmates of Old Age Home at Salepali of Balangir District all in newness. The active members of CWDS under the guidance of Chair-person Major Dr. Kalpana Panda organized a lively programme sending message of honouring the old ones. The Old Age Home at Salepali was decorated by the inmates themselves with mango leaves and drawing of Om and Swastik sign with muruja and lighted the sacred lamp illuminating darkness and sufferings. Attending the programme as the Chief Guest the Tahasildar, Saintala Sj. Jugal Kishor Biswal opined that the youth should come forward to care and share joys as psychological aids for old ones.
The programme was co-ordinated by the state awardee Social worker-cum-teacher Sj. Ram Narayan Dash. The Hon’ble Guest who graced the occasion was the State Awardee Teacher of PHS,Mayabarha, Subarnapur Sj. Rabi Chandra Pasayat. The other members of CWDS who attended this programme were the senior artist Sj. Ram Shankar Satpathy, Social Worker Sj. Nityananda Sarangi, Mantu Samal, Minaketan Dang, Candrashekhar Seth, Mantu Samal, Ramakanta Sahu, Chaturbhuja Sahu, Sanju Biswal respectively. The inmates were imparted proper Hand Washing skills and sweets were distributed among participants finally.
