OUWJ Celebrated its Eight Foundation Day

Khordha : Organization of United Working Journalist (OUWJ) celebrated its Eight Foundation Day Function with gaiety in the Jayee Rajguru Town Hall Khordha. Which was presided over by the IOUWJ, President, Dr. Pitabash Mishra and was present as the chief guest, Collector, Khordha, K.Sudarshan Chakroborty. The ceremony was duly inaugurated by lighting the lamp. The programme was conducted by Senior Journalist Lalit Mohan Mohapatra and the honourable guest were MLA, Khordha, Joytrindra Nath Mitra, MLA, Jatni, Suresh kumar Rautray, Former MLA, Khordha, Dr. Dillip Srichandan, Senior State Vice-President Biju Mahila Janta Dal, Mrs. Basanti Mohapatra, Chairman Khordha Municipality, Mrs. Kanaka Lakhmi Mohanty, OUWJ State President Bhagabat Tripathy, State Secretary Tapan Moharnya Sharma, State Vice-President Arjuna Muduli, IOWJ, Vice-President, Manas Mohapatra, OUWJ, Khordha District President Prakash kumar Hati. District Secretary OUWJ Khordha, Dillip kumar Pattnaik read out the annual memorandum of OUWJ Khordha District unit. Speaking on the occasions Chief Guest Collector Khordha, K. Sudarshan Chakroborty, said that, Journalists try to give right direction by showing mirror to our society and also do the biggest social service by raising the voice of the oppressed and downtrodden. On the demand related to the security of journalist he assured that the administration is always alert and ready regarding the safety of journalists and the working journalist those who are land less considered to allot government land in his name. MLA, Khordha, Joytrindra Nath Mitra, MLA, Jatni, Suresh kumar Rautray, Former MLA, Khordha, Dr. Dillip Srichandan, Senior State Vice-President Biju Mahila Janta Dal, Mrs. Basanti Mohapatra, while giving brief information on the activities of the organization said that ” this organization has always been working to unite the journalist with the commitment to protect the journalists and raise voice of right. To strengthen the mutual unity of journalists was described as the most important need of today’s time. Dr. Hara Prasanna Tripathy, DHH, Khordha, Manas Mohapatra, Rajesh Tripathy and Narayan Dora were also honoured with certificate for their excellent work. In the programme councillors Khordha Municipality, Senior Citizens, Intellectual Mass, Members of OUWJ, Journalists of print and electronics media were present.
