Bureau Head (PKB) : A distinguished poet of repute and an eminent writer of many books and short stories of koraput district Bijayalaxmi Panigrahi climbed another ladder of success and recognition when her anthology of short stories for children “Gapa Pharua” got launched at the capital city of Bhubaneswar. Mrs. Panigrahi as being stated by many had already won the accolades of remarkable reputation during the launching of her poetic collection “Anannya” last year.
Being born and brought up in this tribal dominated koraput district, her fascination for poetic creativity has not only made her an undisputed writer and poet of recognition across the state but also purchased fame for koraput district. According to many authors of this tribal land, “Bijayalaxmi’s dedication and supreme poetic services to our district would perpetually be documented in glowing terms. She is a jem to our land. An honest person whose simplicity of literary services to our soil be ever recognized, She is an ambassador of glory to our district.
As per the information received, kalinga literary festival held at hotel Swosti Premium on thursday launched the anthology of short stories of Bijayalaxmi. This collection is meant for the small children. Renowned author and translator Pradeep Ray, Dr. Dinabandhu Sahu, a noted artist cum writer, Sabyasachi Bishoyi, the representative of Aditya Bharat Publication, popular writer Sujata Mahapatra and a galaxy of literary artists were present during the launching of “Gapa Pharua”.
