As rescue teams hasten to locate survivors in the landslide-devastated regions of Kerala, Odisha has dispatched a five-member elite team with ‘Storm,’ the sole canine from the K9 Squad, specialized in search and rescue operations.
Storm is a unique member of the K-9 Squad trained for such missions. All K-9 Squad canines are skilled in detecting theft and explosives, but Storm, a six-year-old German Shepherd, specializes in locating both survivors and deceased individuals amidst the rubble.
