Free Testing Camp organized by BSP for Divyangjan in Khondgaon

Bhilai : Corporate Social Responsibility Department (CSR) of Rowghat Mines Project of SAIL-Bhilai Steel Plant under the banner of ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ organised a testing camp for distribution of free assistive devices to Divyangjans on October 17, 2022 at Khodgaon in Narayanpur district. The camp is being held from October 17 to 19, 2022 in Khodgaon and Narayanpur.
The three-day camp is being organized in collaboration with “Artificial Limb Manufacturing Corporation of India” (ALIMCO), an Enterprise of the Government of India under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India.
The camp was organised in the in Khodgaon Panchayat area of Narayanpur district. Divyangjan were tested and selected for assistive devices as per the requirement. In the camp, Bhilai Steel Plant in collaboration with ALIMCO will provide tricycle, wheelchair, crutches, hearing aid, folding stick for visually impaired, M.S.I.E.D. Free distribution of equipment like kit, tripod, tetrapod, cervical collar, knee base etc.
43 disabled persons, 9 female and 34 male were selected for assistive devices. A total of 113 equipments will be given to the needy persons. Shri SP Mandavi, GM(Mines), Shri Sunil Kamde, SM(CSR),Shri Budhram, Gram Patel, Shri Lakmu Nureti, Dy. Sarpanch, Members of Gram Vikas Samiti, Khodgaon, Shri Umesh Latiya, Coordinator(CSR),Block Medical Officers, members of District administration and Sr. officials from Mines and CSR department of SAIL-BSP were present on the occasion.
This camp is being organized by the Mines Department and Corporate Social Responsibility Department of SAIL- Bhilai Steel Plant and the needy persons with disabilities will be selected.A free test camp was organized on October 17, 2022 in the Gram Panchayat of Khodgaon from 11 am to 5 pm. In this series, a camp will be organized on October 18 and 19, 2022 at Narayanpur District Hospital from 11 am to 5 pm. To get the equipment, the Divyangjan and senior people must undertake the test and complete their registration. Photocopy of Disability certificate, Aadhar card, Ration card as proof of residence, BPL card, Voter ID etc. and Income certificate (issued by MP, MLA, SDM, Tehsildar, village head and employer) and a passport size photograph showing the disability is required.
