Bhilai : On October 19, 2022, the employees working in the OHP department of Bhilai Steel Plant were awarded the Karma Shiromani Award for their outstanding work under the Shiromani Award scheme. In the presence of department heads, section heads and personnel officers, awards were given to the personnel by the head of the department. Shri Madhav Ram Verma was honored with Karma Shiromani Award for the month of September-2022 by the Head of Department in the presence of all the officers.
Shri RK Srivastava, CGM (OHP) presented the award winners with certificate of merit, memento and appreciation letter for the spouse of the employee.Shri AK Singh, GM (Production), Shri Rajesh Dharkar, GM (Mechanical) Shri Naba Gopal Halder, GM (Electrical), Shri Bhado Tudu GM (Electrical), Ms. Sushmita Patla, Assistant Manager (Personnel-SPs & OHP) and other officers were present.
In his remarks, Department Head and CGM (OHP), Shri RK Srivastava while appreciating the award winner said that it is a matter of great pride that this award is being given to this young man in such a short span of time. Rewards motivate to do such good work.
Shri Bhado Tudu, General Manager (Electrical) said that Madhav ji was the right candidate for this award. They have a habit of doing good work in difficult situations. They are not intimidated by challenges. To do good work, it is very important to have team spirit and they believe in this.
The employees honored with the Karma Shiromani Award expressed happiness on being conferred with this award and expressed their gratitude towards the management and reiterated their commitment to work with more enthusiasm and dedication in future.
Shiromani Award Scheme was implemented in the year 2018 at Bhilai Steel Plant. Under this scheme, the personnel are awarded Karma Shiromani Award in each department every month and Pali Shiromani Award every quarter for their excellent work. Under the Karma Shiromani Award, a citation is given to the employee, appreciation letter for his wife, a memento and a coupon for receiving sweets.In the end of the award ceremony, Ms. Sushmita Patla, Assistant Manager (Personnel-SPs & OHP) proposed vote of thanks.
