Buruea Head (PKB): In an extraordinary move to create awareness among the people, the police personnel of Jeypore block in Koraput District in association with FADA organised a bike rally. The objective of such arrangement was to train the general commuters on roads for wearing helmets. Police personnel from Gandhi chowk to Jeypore Railway station square drove their bikes wearing helmets along with many others in order to create awareness of road safety. As it is well known that many people do meet their ends receiving injuries to their heads for neglecting in not wearing helmets. This particular awareness program being conducted by Jeypore police was hugely appreciated across the town. Sri.Prathamesh Rajshirke,IAS , Probationer, flagged off the rally in the presence of SDPO, Arup Abhishek Behera, Town Police IIC Sambit Kumar Behera and Sadar IIC Iswar Chandra Tandi with many others including lady police personnel. It was a fantastic event as stated by many.
