Bhilai : SAIL-Bhilai Steel Plant’s RMP-3, SMS-3 and Blast Furnace-8 have set new records in production as well as in techno-economics. For this achievement, Director-in-charge of the plant Mr. Anirban Dasgupta visited these departments and congratulated the employees and officers of the department for their excellent performance. Along with this, he also expressed his best wishes to the associate departments of these performing departments.
SAIL-Bhilai Steel Plant’s Refractory Material Plant-3 (RMP-3) recorded the best daily production record on 6th November, 2022 by producing 1705tonnes and left behind the previous production record of 1611 tonnes set on 27th October, 2022.
Similarly, Caster-1 of Modex unit Steel Melting Shop-3 (SMS-3) of Bhilai Steel Plant produced 30 heats on 6th November, 2022 and broke the production record of 29 heats recorded on 09th October, 2022.
SAIL-BSP Blast Furnaces created a new record by increasing the highest ever daily Coal Dust Injection (CDI) volume, by injecting 2429 tonnes of coal dust on 5th November, 2022, setting a new record for highest daily coal dust injection, surpassing the previous record of 2381 tonnes of coal dust injection.
Apart from this, Blast Furnace-08 (Mahamaya) achieved 192 kg per ton hot metal in coal dust injection rate on 05 November 2022 making another daily record which is much higher than the previous coal dust injection rate of 182 kg per ton hot metal. . Along with this, Blast Furnace-08 has surpassed its old record of 1431 tonnes of coal dust injection, setting a new daily record by injecting 1472 tonnes of coal dust.
