Bhiali : Bhilai Steel Plant observed the Vigilance Awareness Week-2022 from 31st October to 6th November with great zeal. During the week long observance of the VAW, various competitions, workshops and sensitization programmes were conducted by Vigilance Department for the employees of Bhilai Steel Plant, their family members and students of Schools and Colleges in vicinity of Bhilai. Objective of the various activities was to sensitise the employees, students and the citizens towards the ill effects of corruption and importance of Integrity, transparency and accountability in personal and public life.
Vigilance and ethics are the two momentous words and complementary of each other. Bhilai Steel Plant has already had an Ethics Club which comprises of young students of the Schools of Bhilai Steel Plants. The motto of the Ethics Club is ‘living a life of values’ so that every member becomes a role model in moral values. Children are the future of the nation and the citizens of tomorrow, if the ethical values will be inculcated in the children at the very beginning, we can ensure the Culture of Ethics, Integrity and Honesty in the society, which is very important for a developed Country. Hence, to motivate the young minds of our surroundings, some ethical activities were performed by the Young Champions of Ethics Club of BSP in association with Vigilance Department on 06.11.2022 at Suniti Udyan, Sector-8 as a concluding remark of Vigilance Awareness Week. At the start of the Programme, Young Champions welcome the Guests of the Occasion Sh. Sandeep Gupta, GM (Vigilance) and Sh. Aniket Ojha, DGM (Vigilance). After that Flag of Ethics Club was hoisted by Sh. Sandeep Gupta, GM (Vigilance) which was followed by Niti Gan by the students. During the occasion, Ethics Pledge was administered by all the gathering present over there.
During the Programme, 12 Monuments of Ethics which represents Integrity, Patriotism, Tolerance, Secularism, Simplicity, Honesty, Love, Compassion, Responsibility, Respect, Non–violence and Unity were visited by the dignitaries. During the visit Young Champions of Ethics Club very well elaborated about these 12 Monuments to the guests which are also the 12 values adopted by Ethics Club.
At the end of the Programme, Sh. Sandeep Gupta, GM (Vigilance) enlightened the Young Champions by his motivational thoughts. He elaborated them the important of the ethical values in the life including Integrity and Honesty and encouraged them to adopt the 12 values of ethics as a mantra of their life and set the examples for others.
