Rourkela : Rourkela Steel Plant, a unit of Maharatna Company SAIL, has brought laurels at the Productivity Excellence Award event organized by the Odisha State Productivity Council. All the four participating Quality Circle teams of the Steel Plant excelled in the competition and bagged awards. The Team ‘Samadhan’ bagged the 5-star rating in the event while ‘Parivartan’ and ‘Saksham’ bagged 4-star rating each. Besides, the Team ‘Rudra’ received 3-star rating in the competition. The teams received their awards on 25th February, 2023 in a programme organised by National Productivity Council to mark Productivity Day celebration. Mr. Soumya Ranjan Patnaik, Hon’ble MLA, Khandapada and founder Chairman of Eastern Media Ltd. presented the awards to the teams.
It is noteworthy that the awarded ratings were based on competitions on the theme ‘Productivity, Green Growth and Sustainability’ to encourage team building leading to organizational performance improvement, learning best practices for adoption to overcome adversity and to help the organization in creating a productive environment.
