Rourkela : Rourkela Club, a vibrant hub of cultural activities has been adding new facilities to keep pace with the changing times and need. Mr. Atanu Bhowmick, Director In-Charge, Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) inaugurated one such facility ‘Spectrum’ a new state of art Auditorium in the club premises on 9th May 2023. Present on the occasion were Mr. S R Suryawanshi, ED (Works), Mr. P K Satapathy, ED (P&A), Mr. P K Sahoo, ED (Projects), Mr. Somnath Tripathy, ED (MM), Dr. B K Hota, ED (M&HS), Mr. P K Rath, CGM In-charge (Mines), Mr. A K Behuria, CGM In-charge (F&A), other Senior Officers of the Plant, Rourkela Club Management Committee members and members of the club. A cultural programme was also organized on this occasion.
It is worth mentioning here that the old Main Hall of the Club has been transformed into an attractive auditorium with centralised air conditioning, beautiful lighting, acoustic system and modern sound system. With a seating capacity of about 150 persons, the Spectrum Auditorium can now host varied event, right from seminars, conferences and get togethers to musical and cultural extravaganza. With its new avatar, the Auditorium will no doubt add to the vibrant socio-cultural landscape of the Steel City.
The Town Engineering (Civil) department has been the executing agency of the entire job.
