Bhubaneswar: A 30-year-old man and his minor daughter went missing after they jumped into Baitarani river in Odisha’s Bhadrak district today.
Chandan Sahu of Paramanandpur under Bhandaripokhari police limits along with his daughter jumped into Baitarani river from Akhuapada bridge at around 9 pm today, sources said.
Chandan’s bike and mobile were found on the bridge, sources added.
On being informed, the police along with Fire Brigade personnel reached the spot and launched an operation to trace the father-daughter duo.
Chandan’s wife had died a month ago, sources added.
