As per reports, the bus was carrying students of Umerkote Adarsh Vidyalaya to Chandahandi for a district level sports competition when the driver lost control while negotiating a curve and the vehicle fell from over 30 feet in the ghat.
Nabarangpur: In a tragic mishap, a teacher died while over 20 students were injured after a bus turned turtle in Chandahandi ghat in Odisha’s Nabarangpur district here today.
The deceased was identified as Prabhas Jena, a Physical Education Teacher (PET) at Umerkote Swami Vivekanand Bidya Mandir.
As per reports, the bus was carrying students of Umerkote Adarsh Vidyalaya to Chandahandi for a district level sports competition when the driver lost control while negotiating a curve and the vehicle fell from over 30 feet in the ghat.
While the teacher died on the spot, over 20 students suffered injuries. Locals rushed the victims to Jharigaon community health centre for treatment.
