Bhubaneswar: The police seized fake cosmetic products worth around Rs 10 lakh from a few stores in Odisha’s Berhampur city today.
A joint team of Berhampur Town police and Badabazar police raided the stores after receiving a complaint from FMCG major Hindustan Unilever, sources said.
The police team carried out raids at Omm Store and Sri Sai Trading Centre at Khasapa Line, Man Pasand store at Bhapur market and a shop at a mall in Old Bus stand area and seized fake cosmetics worth around Rs 10 lakh, sources added.
The police team seized fake cosmetics products including lipstick, kajal, eyeliner and face wash packs carrying the labels of Hindustan Unilever’s Lakme brand, they said.
