Bhubaneswar: Due to Low Pressure Area over southeast Jharkhand and neighbourhood with associated cyclonic circulation, light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at most places over the districts of Odisha during next 24 hours. India Meteorological Department (IMD) today issued Yellow Warning for the next 24 hours.
In its evening bulletin, the IMD regional centre said, “The Low Pressure Area over southeast Jharkhand & neighbourhood now lies over western parts of Gangetic West Bengal & adjoining Jharkhand and the associated cyclonic circulation extends upto 7.6 km above mean sea levels tilting southwards with height. A trough runs from Sikkim to south Chhattisgarh across the Low Pressure area over western parts of Gangetic West Bengal & adjoining Jharkhand and Odisha and extends upto 3.1 km above mean sea level. The line of withdrawal of Southwest Monsoon continues to pass through Gulmarg, Dharamshala, Mukteshwar, Pilibhit, Orai, Ashoknagar, Indore, Baroda and Porbandar.”
Light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at most places over the districts of North Coastal Odisha, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Sundargarh and at many places over the rest districts of Odisha. The highest maximum temperature of 34.0oC was recorded at Paralakhemundi and the lowest minimum temperature of 21.0oC was recorded at Angul in the plains of Odisha.
