Bhadrak: A man allegedly killed his wife at Kharida Binayakpur village under Basudevpur police limits in Odisha’s Bhadrak district suspectedly over extramarital affair.
The deceased was identified as Radharani Behera. Accused Dipu Behera surrendered at the police station after committing the crime.
According to reports, a dispute was prevailing between the two, which took a violent turn as Dipu, after returning home from Tamil Nadu, murdered his wife and dumped the body at a field on the outskirts of the village, last night.
Police have recovered the body for post-mortem and started an investigation into the incident.
Though the reason behind the extreme act of Dipu was yet to be ascertained, it is being suspected that he killed his wife suspecting her of having an extramarital affair.
