4 killed, 2 critical as two motorcycles collide in Odisha’s Nuapada – N.F Times



Nuapada: A head-on collision between two motorcycles killed at least four persons and left two others critically injured in Odisha’s Nuapada district, late last night.

According to reports, the accident took place at Jhirinikhol under Boden police limits in the district while the six persons were returning home on the motorcycles after visiting Durga Puja pandals on the occasion of Dussehra.

All of them sustained injuries under the impact of the collision and were rushed to the Boden Hospital after being rescued by police.

Unfortunately, doctors declared four of them dead at the healthcare facility.

The deceased were identified as Demanta Majhi (18), Pinku Majhi (17), Hemananda Majhi (15) and Rohit Majhi (24).

The injured ones were later shifted to the Nuapada District Headquarters Hospital as their condition deteriorated.

A pall of gloom descended on the area after the tragic incident.
