Jeypore: In a further boost to air connectivity, the Odisha government has announced second direct flight services between Bhubaneswar and Jeypore in Koraput. In an announcement on Saturday, the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) informed that the flight service, with financial support from the State government, will start on November 6 and will be operated by IndiaOne Air twice a day on Mondays and Fridays every week.
As per the IndiaOne Air report, the flight will depart Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) in Bhubaneswar at 7:10am and arrive at Jeypore at 8:45am. While returning, the flight will take off at 9:00am from Jeypore and land at 10:35am in Bhubaneswar.

The maiden flight from Bhubaneswar to Jeypore took off on October 31 last year. The airport, being the first State-owned airport to receive the license to operate commercial flights in Odisha, had got the nod from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) under the Ude Desh ka Aam Naagrik (UDAN) scheme of the Centre.
