Bhubaneswar: The School and Mass Education (S&ME) department has announced the schedule for admission of students in the Odisha Adarsha Vidyalayas and Odisha Mining Adarsha Vidyalayas.
As per the schedule, the students can register themselves for the entrance examinations for admission in 314 Odisha Adarsha Vidyalayas and five Odisha Mining Adarsha Vidyalayas by visiting the official website www.oav.edu.in from November 1 to November 20.
The entrance examinations for admission in Adarsha Vidyalayas and Mining Adarsha Vidyalayas will be completed by January 15, 2024. The results of the entrance examinations will be published by February 15, 2024.
The S&ME department will approve the list of eligible students for admissions by March 15, 2024.
The admission is scheduled to start on April 2 and conclude on April 30.
The S&ME department has sent information booklets for admission in the Adarsha Vidyalayas and Mining Adarsha Vidyalayas to all district and block headquarters in the state.
Altogether 50 per cent seats of Adarsha Vidyalayas will be reserved for girl students. Similarly, there will be seat reservation for Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) students, said an official of the S&ME department.
The students as well as their parents can visit the nearest Adarsha Vidyalaya to avail any help for registration for the enrollment, added the official.
