Sambalpur: The inspector-in-charge (IIC) of Dhanupali police station in Sambalpur district today lodged an FIR against his former PS in-charge, alleging that the latter has kept several important files in her possession and is not returning the same even if she has joined a PS of Bolangir district.
The former IIC identified as Anita Pradhan was transferred to Bolangir nearly four months ago.
As per the FIR lodged by present IIC Ranjan Biswal, he is not able to chargesheet the accused persons in a number of criminal cases in the absence of requisite files. This was reported by Biswal to Nabarangpur Superintendent of Police (SP) Rohit Verma in a recent crime meeting. Taking the matter seriously, the SP later ordered Biswal to lodge an FIR and register a case in this regard.
