Bhubaneswar: Begunia MLA Rajendra Kumar Sahoo landed in trouble after a case was registered against him for allegedly furnishing fake documents to contest elections.
One Upendra Kumar Routray of Khordha had filed a complaint in this regard with the Khordha SJDM Court, on the basis of which a case was registered.
As per the complaint, there are discrepancies in various documents submitted by the legislator for contesting assembly election.
“The MLA furnished different matriculation certificates, PAN cards and Voter IDs for contesting poll and availing loan from bank. Furthermore, information like date of birth varies in the documents,” the petitioner’s advocate said.
Sahoo was yet to comment on the matter.
