Bhubaneswar: Former chief secretary and chairperson of Odisha Electricity Regulatory Commission (OERC) Suresh Chandra Mahapatra has been appointed as the new chief advisor to the chief minister’s office (CMO) in Odisha.
The former IAS officer has been allowed to relinquish his post as the OERC Chairperson from today.
Retired IAS officer R.Balakrishnan, working as Chief Advisor, Special Initiatives, in the rank of Chief Secretary will continue as such. But, he has been relieved of his additional charge of Chief Advisor to the CMO.
Former IAS officer Asit Tripathy, now working as the Chairman of Western Odisha Development Council, has been allowed to relinquish all his additional charges of Principal Advisor, said the CMO in a statement today.
