Rourkela: A major train mishap was averted today in Odisha after three passenger trains including Vande Bharat Express came on one track near Rourkela Railway Station in Sundargarh district today.
According to reports, the Sambalpur-Rourkela Memu train and Rourkela-Jharsuguda passenger train came face to face on the same line at a 100-metre distance. The third train Puri-Rourkela Vande Bharat Express was running on the same track.
The incident occurred just 200 metre away from the Rourkela Railway Station. The alleged error in the railway signaling system could have led to a triple train crash in Steel City.
