Miscreants use JCB to uproot ATM, decamp with money worth lakhs in Odisha – N.F Times


Cash worth over Rs 26 lakh has been looted and investigation is underway, official sources informed. 


Balasore: In a brazen theft attempt, unidentified miscreants reportedly used a crane to rob an ATM and decamped with money worth lakhs in Bahanaga tehsil of Odisha’s Balasore district on Sunday.

As per reports, the gang used a JCB to uproot and remove the SBI ATM by breaking open the door of the kiosk housing the cash dispensing machine in Bahanaga market. They then fled with the cash.

Locals spotted the broken kiosk in the morning and informed the police.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the ATM was uprooted with the help of a crane. Cash worth over Rs 26 lakh has been looted and investigation is underway, official sources informed.
