CM inaugurates, lays stone for health infra projects worth Rs 1,140 Crore in Odisha – N.F Times



Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today inaugurated at least 103 health infra projects built at a total cost of Rs 140 crore and laid the foundation stones for as many as 372 more projects with a total estimated cost of Rs 1,000 crore in several districts of Odisha.

The reliability of the people of Odisha has increased on the government healthcare facilities. Various welfare schemes of the State government implemented under its 5T initiative have brought substantial transformation in the healthcare sector and government-run hospitals in particular, inaugurating the infra projects in virtual mode, the Chief Minister expressed.

Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana (BSKY) has proved to be a boon for the people. More than 1 lakh patients are being treated under the BSKY scheme in the State every month, Patnaik added.

“We aim to bolster the healthcare sector and make Odisha a role model for other states in the country. The projects inaugurated today will bring a major transformation,” the Chief Minister stated.

The CM further said that his Government aims to strengthen health services at all facilities including PHCs, CHCs, and DHHs. Around a total of Rs 12,000 crore has been spent on infrastructure development in the last five years. He launched a special helpline number 1800 120 120 104 for the Odia people residing outside the State to help them avail the health services under the BSKY scheme.
