Cuttack: Orissa High Court granted bail to ‘blackmailer’ Archana Nag in connection with a honeytrap case registered by the Enforcement Directorate (ED).
With the grant of bail in the third case, the sextortion accused is likely to walk out of jail very soon as she was granted bail in all three cases.
Earlier, Archana was granted bail in a blackmailing case and a sextortion case from the High Court this year.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) was investigating a high-profile honeytrap case involving Archana, her husband Jagabandhu Chand, and their business associates Khageswar Patra and Shradhanjali Behera following a blackmailing case was filed against her by Ollywood filmmaker Akshay Parija.
Archana is accused of extorting money from influential persons by blackmailing them with videos of intimate moments between her and them. Shradhanjali was allegedly involved in the offence.
According to the complaint lodged by Parija, Archana had demanded Rs 3 crore threatening him of making his objectionable videos and photographs with a woman public.
