Bhubaneswar: Unidentified miscreants allegedly kidnapped a one-year-old baby boy as they snatched him from his father at Patia Station Bazaar in Odisha capital on Tuesday.
As per reports, the incident took place at around 12.30 pm when the man was buying household articles at the market holding the baby in his arms. In the meantime, four persons arrived at the scene in a car while two of them came out of the vehicle.
The duo snatched away the baby from his possession and pushed him, as a result of which he fell down. The miscreants then fled the spot with the child.
Though locals tried to chase the car, but in vain. They also failed to note the registration number of the vehicle.
On the basis of a complaint lodged by the parents of the baby, police started investigation into the matter.
According to latest reports, the baby was rescued by police. The child was kidnapped over a family dispute.
