Berhampur: A Gram Rojgar Sevak died following a murderous attack allegedly by an unidentified man in Odisha’s Ganjam district.
According to reports, Sukant Kumar Panigrahi, a Gram Rojgar Sevak of Karadabadi and Sankuru Gram Panchayats, was stabbed with a knife while he was traveling on his motorcycle from his village Kalamba to Buguda Block office at around 11 am today.
He sustained critical injuries in the attack. The locals rushed him to Buguda Community Health Centre (CHC) in a critical condition. Following primary treatment, he was referred to the MKCG Hospital in Berhampur. However, he succumbed to injuries while shifting him to Berhampur.
On receiving information, police reached the hospital and initiated a probe into the incident.
