On being informed by locals, a team of Town police led by Phulbani SDPO Suprasanna Mallick reached the hospital and initiated a probe into the fatal mishap, which is underway.

The accused was involved in a murder case and was recently released from jail. We will include his criminal antecedents into the purview of the probe,” the SDPO expressed.

“Pramod was previously selling contraband items to youngsters at a place near the Chhak, which I had opposed. Reacting to it, he threw acid on me,” the acid attack victim Suraj stated.
