Odisha: Miscreants steal Rs 1.6 lakh from retired CRPF jawan’s scooter dickey at Khurda – N.F Times



Bhubaneswar: Miscreants have stolen Rs 1.6 lakh by breaking open a retired CRPF jawan’s scooter dickey at Odisha’s Khurda town.

The incident took place while the retired CRPF jawan was buying fish at Kanta Square after parking his scooter near a shop around the noon today, sources said.

The retired jawan, a resident of Kaipadar village under Khurda block, kept the money in his scooter dickey after withdrawing the amount from the SBI main branch at Khurda, sources added.

“The miscreants stole the money by breaking open the scooter dickey while the retired CRPF jawan was buying fish at Kanta Square. They also took away his bank and post office passbooks,” said a source.

The retired jawan has lodged a complaint in this regard with police.
