Bhawanipatna: Kalahandi University here has been renamed as Maa Manikeshwari University, the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) said in a release today.
The renaming proposal given by the Higher Education Department was approved by Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, the release said.
Notably, Kalahandi University comprising 50 colleges was formed on 1 September 2020.
During his Kalahandi visit last month, the CM had made an announcement regarding the renaming of the university.
