Odisha records over 70 pc growth in GST collection in Dec, 2023 – N.F Times


Bhubaneswar: Odisha recorded the second highest ever collection of State GST with a mop up of Rs 2,578.05 crore during December, 2023 against a collection of Rs 1,515.88 crore in December, 2022, registering a growth rate of 70.07 per cent.

The progressive collection of State GST (OGST+IGST settlement) till December, 2023 stood at Rs 17,419.61 crore against collection of Rs 13,235.52 crore up to December, 2022, registering a growth rate of 31.61 per cent, said a release issued by the CT & GST Commissionerate in Odisha today.

The collection under all Acts monitored by the CT & GST Commissionerate including OGST, IGST, VAT, Entry Tax and Profession Tax was Rs 3,665.23 crore in December, 2023 against a mop up of Rs 2,510.86 crore during December, 2022 with a growth rate of 45.98 per cent.

Similarly, the progressive collection under all Acts up to December, 2023 stood at Rs 26,089.84 crore with a growth rate of Rs 21.68 per cent in comparison to the corresponding period of 2022.

The state recorded the Gross GST collection (CGST+IGST+SGST+Cess) of Rs 4,351.42 crore during December, 2023 against a collection of Rs 3,854.29 crore during December last year, registering a growth rate of 12.90 per cent.

The progressive Gross GST collection during 2023-24 fiscal (till December 2023) is Rs 39, 539.67 crore with growth of 10.08 per cent over the corresponding period of Financial Year 2022-23.

As many as 22.49 lakhs of waybills were generated in December 2023 against 19.66 lakhs of waybills generated in December, 2022, said the CT & GST Commissionerate today.
