Rourkela: A man was allegedly shot dead by his elder brother at a New Year feast in Bisra area of Odisha’s Sundargarh district on Monday.
The deceased was identified as Surya Singh of Teterkela.
As per reports, Surya and his friends had arranged a feast near Teterkela Chhak on the occasion of the New Year.
Later, his elder brother arrived at the scene and fired at him over family dispute.
The victim sustained bullet injuries and died on the spot.
Police recovered the body for post-mortem and detained four persons for questioning in connection with the killing.
