Bhubaneswar: Two persons were killed when a pickup truck collided with a motorcycle on National Highway-326 in Malkangiri district of Odisha today.
The deceased have been identified as Sujit Madhi and Singa Madhi of Kutubanpalli village under Kalimela police limits in Malkangiri.
The incident took place at MV 126 ghat area on NH-326 at around 4 pm in the afternoon.
Sujit and Singa sustained grievous injuries when the pickup truck carrying poultry products collided with their bike head-on on the NH. One among them died on the spot while another succumbed to his injuries at Kalimela Community Health Centre (CHC), sources said.
The driver of the pickup truck surrendered before the police soon after the incident.
