Jharsuguda: As many as three persons were killed as an unidentified vehicle hit a motorcycle on which the trio was travelling on NH-49 at Goudapada under Belpahar police limits in Odisha’s Jharsuguda district, today.
As per reports, the accident took place when three youths of Sahajbahal village were heading towards Lakhanpur on the ill-fated two-wheeler.
The driver of the vehicle fled the spot after it hit the motorcycle. The three sustained critical injuries in the road mishap and died on the spot.
On being informed, police reached the place and started investigation into the matter.
Cops were examining footage of nearby CCTV cameras to identify the vehicle.
