Miscreants hurl bombs at hotel in Odisha’s Ganjam; staffer sustains injury – N.F Times

Jagannathprasad: Two unidentified miscreants hurled bombs at a roadside hotel in Jagannathprasad locality under this police limit of Ganjam district, today. A staffer of the hotel sustained injuries in the incident and he has been identified as Badal Panigrahy.

According to a source, the bike-borne youths reached the hotel and hurled two bombs for reasons not ascertained yet. They fled from the spot soon after committing the crime.

Some locals rescued the injured and admitted him to a nearby hospital for treatment.

“Owner of the hotel is a former sarpanch named Debi Prasad Mohapatra. This incident is perhaps the fallout of past enmity,” a resident of Jagannathprasad expressed.

On being informed, a team of police reached the spot and launched a probe into the bombing.

“We were busy in preparing and serving food to the customers when two youths threw bombs. We don’t know anyone of them and any reason behind the incident,” two staffers stated.
