Bhubaneswar: The visitors will soon have the opportunity to enjoy night safari at Chandaka Wildlife Sanctuary near Odisha capital here.
The Forest department is all set to launch night trail at the sanctuary on January 29.
The visitors can enjoy the night safari at the sanctuary till 9.30 pm, said Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Wildlife) Susanta Nanda today.
“Many people are facing difficulties in enjoying the safari at Chandaka Wildlife Sanctuary at daytime due to their busy work schedule. These people can now enjoy the safari at night. The visitors can watch wild animals like deer, wild boars and elephants during the night safari,” he added.
Wildlife enthusiasts, researchers and students will be hugely benefitted by the initiative. They can now watch many nocturnal animals and observe them closely during the night safari at Chandaka, Nanda said.
There will be no safari facility at the sanctuary from 9.30 pm to 9.30 am, added the PCCF.
