Sundargarh: Tension prevailed as irate villagers staged a road blockade after two minor girls were hit by a car while returning from school in Odisha’s Sundargarh district today. The victims were identified as Sunithi Seth and Pravati Soreng, both Class 6 students. They were rushed to the district headquarters hospital in a critical state and are undergoing treatment.
As per reports, the girls were returning from school after Netaji Jayanti celebration when a car hit their bicycle near Bandhapali within Sadar police limits. While the driver sped away immediately, locals found the duo in a critical state and rushed them to the hospital.
Police on getting information reached the spot and started investigation.
