Maoists injured in exchange of fire with SOG jawans in Odisha – N.F Times



Bhubaneswar: An exchange of fire took place between Maoists and SOG jawans in Matakupa reserve forest on Kandhamal-Boudh border in Odisha on Monday.

The exchange of fire lasted for more than 30 minutes, following which the extremists, who belong to KKBN division of the Maoist organization, fled the spot leaving behind their camp articles and a weapon, sources said.

It is being suspected that some Maoists sustained injuries in the firing by the security forces, sources added.

More SOG teams have been sent to the area to intensify the combing operation.
