Odisha CM inaugurates Odia University at Satyabadi – N.F Times



Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today inaugurated the Odia University at Satyabadi in Puri district.

The CM inaugurated the new building of the Odia University through video conferencing.

The varsity has been constructed on nine acres of land with separate hostels for male and female students, classrooms, library, cafeteria, offices and other infrastructure.

The administrative building of the university has architecture with designs of Odia alphabets.

Patnaik had laid the foundation stone for the university on October 9, 2018 near Bakula Bana Bidyalaya.

The varsity has a capacity of 200 students.

It was earlier operating from a temporary campus at Sakhigopal Panthashala in Puri district.

The university offers admissions in three subjects– Odia Language and Literature, Linguistics and Natural Language Processing and Regional, Tribal Language and Heritage Studies.
