Dhenkanal: A man died as a vehicle carrying Sundargarh MP Jual Oram collided with a motorcycle on which he was travelling at Rekula Chhak under Kamakhyanagar police limits in Odisha’s Dhenkanal district, today.
The deceased was identified as Sarbeswar Choudhury.
As per reports, the parliamentarian was travelling towards Rourkela from Bhubaneswar in a car, during which the four-wheeler hit the ill-fated motorcycle.
Under the impact of the collision, Choudhury fell from the motorcycle and sustained critical injuries. Oram then rescued the victim and rushed him to Kamakhyanagar Hospital in the pilot vehicle.
However, he was declared dead at the healthcare facility.
Terming the incident as unfortunate, the MP said, “The motorcycle came in front of the moving car, which led to the accident.”
Till last reports came in, Oram was present at the Kamakhyanagar police station.
