Bhubaneswar: A CRPF jawan was found dead inside a hotel room under mysterious circumstances at Ashok Nagar in Odisha capital, today.
The deceased was identified as Meer Singh. He hailed from Rajasthan.
As per reports, staffers of the hotel spotted Singh’s body hanging from the ceiling fan of the room. On being informed, police reached the spot, recovered the body for post-mortem and initiated investigation to ascertain the circumstances under which he died.
Police were questioning the employees of the hotel in connection with the incident.
According to the manager of the hotel, Singh had checked in on January 26 at around 4.30 pm. “Our employees spotted the body in a hanging state while the door of the room was open. He was earlier heard talking to someone loudly over phone,” the manager said.
