Khordha: At least 18 persons sustained injuries as a truck hit the bus carrying them to Puri for Parikrama project visit. The road mishap took place at Gadakhordha Chhak in Odisha’s Khordha district, this morning.
As per reports, as many as 42 persons from Rayagada were heading towards Puri in the ill-fated vehicle.
A speeding truck rammed into the bus from rear, leaving 18 of them injured. The front portion of the truck and the rear portion of the bus were damaged in the collision.
The victims were rescued by police and rushed to the Khordha District Headquarters Hospital for treatment.
Khordha Collector Chanchal Rana reached the hospital to take stock of the situation.
