Bhubaneswar: Biswa Odia Bhasa Sammilani will be held every five years, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik announced today on the occasion of the first-ever conference’s closing ceremony here. The mega event came to an end on the third day, which will remain a milestone in the history of Odia language.

Policy decisions were taken on some proposals during the Sammilani, the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) said.

The duration of a museum organised for the conference was extended for three more days.

Technology must be coordinated with the language and Odia vocabulary be enriched. The language will reach new heights if we feel proud of our language and youngsters adopt it as well, the CM said.

The CM thanked all students, youths, writers, researchers, linguists, litterateurs, and poets who took part in the conference. He also thanked the people of Odisha from the core of his heart.
