Bhubaneswar: A male tiger was found dead in Odisha’s Similipal Tiger Reserve, an official said today.
“On February 5 evening, a patrolling team spotted the carcass of the tiger at Duduruchampa. The age of the animal is estimated to be 3.5 years,” said Prakash Chand Gogineni, Regional Chief Conservator of Forest, Similipal.
“The cause of the death was yet to be ascertained. A team has collected samples and those will be sent for autopsy. The reason of death can be known after the post-mortem,” the official added.
